Nicole unstoppable in early season TTs
3 from 3, it doesn’t get much better than that. On Sunday Nicole Walters won the Severn RC Hardriders event, beating her nearest rival by over 5 mins. This was in contrast to her previous winning margin of over 10 minutes! She must be slacking…….unfortunately this writer isn’t fast enough to catch up with her and pose that question. You’ll have to make do with a picture of her going fast. Surely no chance of her being late to the altar when she gets married in a few months?
James Coleman in his second TT outing in Walcot colours bagged another 4th to back up his excellent ride at the Frome & DW Open 10. A podium spot is on the horizon for him in upcoming events.
It wasn’t just the TTers getting all the glory with Tom Marshall taking the win in the men’s Regional A 2/3/4 race at Ilton on Saturday with Pete Giddings a solid 7th. On Sunday at Castle Combe in the Cat 3 race Nick Skardon was also 7th whilst Gile Prentice turned sprinter for the day to grab 10th. We’ll post the confirmed results once they’re published by British Cycling.
This weekend Pete, Giles and John Fowles head down to the Modbury RR in Devon in the hunt for more points. G’luck guys!
VCWRace is on the up.
