Classics Ride – Ronde van Wiltshire ‘Hell of the West’**
Sunday is an old club stalwart; the Classics Ride. Short, painful (in places) and some lanes that you will not have ridden before. This year’s route is called the ‘Ronde van Wiltshire’. We did this route back in 2008. It’s a ‘Big Grin’ kind of ride and always has a great turnout. You can check out the route here: Ronde van Wiltshire. The Easyriders will take a few timely shortcuts but will still get a flavour of the whole route.
**This a retro wear ride. Drag out your 70/80/90s merino jersey if you have one, your leather skull cap and wrap some inner tubes around your shoulders. All caps to be worn peak ‘up’. Thems the rules! It’s all about the style… But that’s not all.……..Jason Bhandari has sorted out something special for this year. Adrian from Society Cafe, Kingsmead Square has agreed to show Paris-Roubaix live on his big screen projector in his downstairs room. Club members can get coffee and cake for £4 by showing a special flyer (to come via separate email) and their membership card. Please note the cafe is still open for general business so we don’t have exclusive use of the downstairs room so be mindful of other paying guests. Live screening will start from approx 1-30pm onwards until the finish.
